The Ogun State Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (OGUNCCIMA) has hailed the pivotal role of the Dangote Group in driving the success of the Gateway International Trade Fair, emphasizing the company’s significant contribution to the prosperity of the state.

During the official opening of the 13th edition of the Trade Fair at the M.K.O Abiola Trade Fair Complex, Abeokuta, Engr. Mike Akingbade, President of OGUNCCIMA, commended Dangote Industries Limited for its longstanding support, which has been instrumental in sustaining the Trade Fair and fostering economic freedom for the people of Ogun State.

“A special commendation must be given to Dangote Industries Limited, which has remained the major sponsor of the Gateway International Trade Fair for many years. The committed support of the Dangote Group is the elixir with which the trade fair is activated, and OGUNCCIMA is eternally grateful for the wonderful gesture of the company,” Akingbade remarked.

He highlighted the Trade Fair’s theme, “Achieving Economic Prosperity through Business Connection, Trade and Investment,” underscoring its role in expanding businesses’ reach, accessing new markets, and diversifying customer bases. Akingbade emphasized the importance of forging robust business connections, participating in trade activities, and making strategic investments to unlock new markets and stimulate economic growth.

Mr. Tunde Mabogunje, Regional Sales Director of Dangote Cement PLC, Lagos/Ogun, reiterated the company’s commitment to supporting Ogun State and OGUNCCIMA. He assured continuous support from Dangote Group, noting its dedication to enhancing Nigeria’s prosperity by creating opportunities for Nigerians and businesses.

Visitors to the Dangote Group’s pavilion at the fair will enjoy discounted prices on products, Mabogunje revealed, hinting at the participation of the Dangote Refinery in the next edition of the Trade Fair.

Governor Dapo Abiodun, after performing the ribbon-cutting ceremony, visited the Dangote pavilion and commended the company and other sponsors for their support in stimulating economic growth through the Trade Fair. He acknowledged the Trade Fair’s role as a catalyst for economic development and expressed optimism about its future impact on the state’s prosperity.
