The Maritime Police Command, Force Headquarters Annex, Lagos, joined the nationwide celebration of the 70th Anniversary of Women in the Nigeria Police Force, a historic milestone currently being observed across all Commands and Formations of the Nigeria Police Force.
According to the official press release by ASP Adebayo Rasheed Adesayo ANIPR “As part of activities marking the anniversary, the Command undertook a series of engagements aimed at honouring the legacy of pioneer policewomen and inspiring the next generation of female officers. The activities were led by the most senior woman police officer in the Maritime Police Command, Assistant Commissioner of Police (Administration), ACP Oyin Francess Adegbite, accompanied by other women police officers of the Command.
The delegation paid a courtesy visit to a retired woman police officer, CSP Bridget Nekpen Omorere (Rtd.), who had served the nation with distinction during her years at the Maritime Police Command.
