The Anambra State Police Command has reinforced its security architecture with the commissioning of the CP Orutugu’s Eagle’s Eye Tower at Ekwulobia Division, Aguata Local Government Area.
Speaking at the event on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, the Commissioner of Police, CP Ikioye Orutugu, reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to building a robust security framework across the state by strategically positioning police divisions to serve as fortresses against criminal elements.
Orutugu commended security stakeholders, community leaders, and partner agencies in Aguata for their unwavering support in strengthening grassroots policing. He noted that security thrives best when communities work hand-in-hand with law enforcement.
“The Eagle’s Eye Tower is more than just infrastructure; it is a symbol of vigilance, courage, and partnership. With the support of stakeholders in Aguata, this facility will enhance surveillance, early response, and visibility policing, deterring criminal activities and boosting public confidence,” the CP said.
After the commissioning, the CP led a joint security team on a thank-you visit to Chief Joseph Ebere Ezeokafor, CEO of Jezco Oil, who was recognized for his support to security agencies, particularly the Police Command.
The event was attended by representatives of the traditional ruler, the local government chairman, presidents-general of various communities, and other security stakeholders.
