The Eternal Sacred Order of the Morning Star and Saint Michael Star Fountain of Life Mount Zion (Saint Moses Orimolade Pro-Cathedral, also known as Mount of Testimony) has celebrated its centenary at its national headquarters in Festac Town, Lagos.
The historic event drew members, clerics, dignitaries, and visitors from within and outside Nigeria in a colourful rally that blended worship, thanksgiving, and reflection.
Presiding over the celebration, His Most Eminence, Respected Spiritual Father Joseph Adenaike (Benadin) JP, Baba Aladura of the Morning Star Church Worldwide, described the milestone as a joyous occasion and a symbolic convergence of all white garment churches. He noted that many denominations trace their origins to the life and ministry of Saint Moses Orimolade, revered as the original Baba Aladura.
Orimolade was remembered as a saint whose life from birth bore extraordinary signs of divine ordination. His legacy of holiness, sacrifice, and devotion to God and humanity was highlighted as a source of inspiration for the church and the nation.
The anniversary also coincided with the 68th Annual General Conference of the church and was positioned as a call to unity among all white garment churches. Attendees were urged to draw lessons from Orimolade’s example, using his life as a framework for service, faith, and collective growth.
The centenary rally featured hymns, prayers, and thanksgiving sessions, creating a spirited atmosphere of celebration. For members and leaders alike, the event was not only a commemoration of the past but also a renewed mandate to carry forward the legacy of Saint Moses Orimolade with unity and devotion.
