FRSC Applauds Lagos Security Trust Fund As Training Drive Sparks New Era of Discipline, Operational Excellence

The Lagos Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps has thrown its weight behind the Lagos State Security Trust Fund, praising what it described as a forward looking capacity building initiative that is already reshaping the professionalism of security personnel across the state.

In a statement issued by the Command’s Public Education Officer, SRC Elizabeth Oluwadamilola Jayeola, the Corps highlighted the successful conclusion of the second phase of the 2026 statewide training programme organised by the Lagos State Security Trust Fund under the leadership of its Executive Secretary, Dr Ayodele Ogunsan.

The training, part of a structured 10 month development plan, is designed to strengthen inter agency collaboration, improve ethical standards and sharpen operational efficiency among security operatives working within Lagos State.

The FRSC delegation, comprising DRC Onijuni Adewale Joseph, DRC Joseph Theophilus Mary and SMI Oguntolu Moses Oluseyi, was actively engaged in the intensive sessions that focused on enhancing both competence and professional conduct.

Participants were exposed to modern strategies aimed at improving coordinated responses to emerging security challenges, with facilitators emphasising discipline, teamwork and accountability as critical pillars for effective service delivery.

Speaking on the outcome of the programme, the Sector Commander, Corps Commander Kehinde G Hamzat, commended the LSSTF for its consistency in investing in human capital development within the security architecture of Lagos State.

He noted that the initiative has become a vital platform for fostering synergy among agencies, stressing that seamless cooperation remains key to addressing the complex and evolving nature of security threats in a rapidly growing urban environment.

Hamzat also lauded the recognition of excellence demonstrated during the training, particularly the award of a fifty thousand naira grant presented to DRC Onijuni Adewale Joseph for punctuality and commitment, describing it as a morale boosting gesture.

According to him, such incentives reinforce a culture of discipline and professionalism, encouraging officers to uphold the highest standards in the discharge of their duties.

The Sector Commander expressed confidence that the knowledge and skills acquired from the programme would translate into improved road safety enforcement, enhanced public engagement and more efficient service delivery across Lagos State.

He reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to deepening collaboration with the LSSTF and other strategic stakeholders, maintaining that sustained partnerships remain critical to achieving a safer and more secure operational environment for residents.
