The Nigerian Navy (NN) has appointed Commodore A. O. Odejobi as its new Director of Naval Information (DINFO), following the redeployment of Commodore Aiwiyor Adams-Aliu.
Commodore Odejobi, a seasoned naval pilot with a distinguished career in both aviation and maritime operations, takes over the crucial position from Commodore Adams-Aliu, who has been reassigned to serve as the Commanding Officer at Nigerian Navy Ship (NNS) Lugard in Lokoja, Kogi State. According to an internal signal obtained by The Nation, Commodore Adams-Aliu is set to officially assume his new role on or before November 1, 2025.
With years of experience in the Navy, Commodore Odejobi’s appointment is expected to bring renewed focus to the Navy’s public relations strategy, improving communication and enhancing engagement with the media and the public. As DINFO, he will lead the Navy’s efforts in managing its public image, disseminating official statements, and promoting its ongoing operations and achievements.
