The Headquarters Logistics Command of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) wishes to notify the general public particularly motorists and residents around the Murtala Muhammed Airport axis in Lagos of a 10km Walk/Jog Exercise scheduled to hold on Saturday, 18 October 2025.
According to an official statement signed by Squadron Leader Abigail Ologun, Command Public Relations Officer, Headquarters Logistics Command, the routine physical fitness exercise forms part of ongoing efforts by the NAF to promote the health, well-being, and operational efficiency of its personnel.
The exercise will commence at 6:00 a.m. and end by 8:00 a.m. During this period, temporary road closures will be effected on sections of the Airport Road and adjoining routes, specifically from Murtala Muhammed Airport Terminal 2 (MMA2) to the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA).
Motorists and commuters are advised to use alternative routes and to obey traffic directives issued by NAF personnel and other security agencies who will be on duty to ensure safety and minimize inconvenience. Normal traffic flow will resume immediately after the exercise.
The Command assures the public that adequate arrangements have been put in place for a safe and hitch-free event. The Nigerian Air Force sincerely regrets any inconvenience this may cause and appreciates the understanding and cooperation of all road users and residents in the area.
