One of Nigeria’s most impactful charity-driven music events, Green Worship 8.0, returns this Saturday, October 11, 2025 at the prestigious MUSON Centre, Onikan, Lagos, with a renewed mission to raise ₦100 million in support of orphans and children with disabilities across Nigeria.
Since its inception, Concert for Change has disbursed over ₦160 million to 39 charities nationwide, bridging the gap between worship and social action. Funds raised have gone directly toward providing education, healthcare, therapy, and shelter for vulnerable children.
According to founder Pastor Wale Adenuga, the initiative is proof that “the miracle of five loaves and two fishes is still alive today.”
Hosted by Concert for Change, a registered non-profit formerly known as Worship for Change, the evening promises not just soul-stirring gospel music, but life-changing impact.
Green Worship is an initiative of Concert for Change, formerly known as Worship for Change. It is a registered non-profit movement that uses music to mobilize compassion and financial support for charities caring for orphans and children with disabilities across Nigeria.
The mission is simple but profound: to raise awareness and funding for these underserved communities proving that worship isn’t just about songs; it’s about service, impact, and love in action.
Since its inception, the initiative has raised and disbursed over ₦160 million to 39 charities nationwide, funding education, healthcare, therapy, mobility aids, and shelter for thousands of children.

Wale Adenuga, Convener and Coordinator, Concert for Change stated that this year’s Green Worship concert features a powerful lineup of Nigeria’s beloved gospel artists: Nathaniel Bassey, Dunsin Oyekan, Gaise Baba, Anendlessocean, Preye Odede, Rotimi Keys, Kent Egunjobi, Moyosola Olowokure, Gospel Force, Ellie Scotte, Outgun Onkar and himself Wale Adenuga.
Proceeds from Green Worship 8.0 will go directly to support five outstanding charities doing remarkable work with children in Nigeria:
1. Comrade David Ofoeyeno School for Special Children – Warri
2. Marvelous Foundation Orphans Care Centre – Minna
3. Super Parents Foundation – Lagos
4. Hope Orphanage – Akure
5. Learning Disabilities Society of Nigeria – Uyo
According to Adenuga, each of these organizations submitted detailed funding proposals highlighting specific needs—from therapy and medical support to mobility aids and infrastructure.
Testimonies from the field, Olawale Olalekan Samuel – Super Parents Foundation, Lagos “We cater to children living with severe disabilities many of whom are unable to walk, move, or speak. Support like this makes a tangible difference. From therapy sessions to CP wheelchairs that cost over ₦400,000, medications that run up to ₦100,000 monthly, and nutritional needs, every kobo counts. Most families we support are overwhelmed, and without this kind of help, many children wouldn’t survive.”
“The disability community works in milestones, step by step. A child progresses from sitting with support to walking with aid. It’s a slow process, but every tool counts. Also speaking is Mr. Tommy Inimfom Joseph – Learning Disabilities Society of Nigeria, Uyo “This is the first time our organization is receiving such direct support. We’ve operated from a rented space for six years without any government or external aid. We nearly shut down earlier this year due to lack of funds. This donation will help us pay rent, purchase materials for our vocational programs like bead making and crafts, and improve transportation for the special children we serve. We will steward every naira with accountability and gratitude.”
Concert for Change is committed to transparency and responsible fund disbursement. All beneficiary charities undergo a rigorous selection and reporting process: Each charity submits a detailed proposal and budget plan. Funds are disbursed based on assessed need not equally, but equitably. All recipients sign an undertaking to use funds as agreed. Video reports and financial updates are required within 2-3 months of disbursement he said.
The initiative is run entirely by volunteers. No administrative salaries are paid. Every naira raised is turned over to the beneficiaries.

On her part, Ayopeju Njideaka, Trustee, “We’re not just giving funds, we’re partnering for long-term transformation. Many of our supported charities have grown to do even more, and we hope they too can pay it forward.”
In 2026 Concert for Change will mark 20 years of impact. Looking ahead: The goal is to raise ₦100 million annually, supporting more charities across Nigeria and West Africa. Future Green Worship concerts may be hosted outside Nigeria, extending the reach and raising funds for other African nations like Liberia, Sierra Leone, and Cameroon.
Plans are underway to train and empower small charities, helping them with branding, digital presence, and sustainability planning.
