The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has celebrated the extraordinary achievement of Assistant Comptroller of Customs, Akpevwe Ogboru, popularly known as *Tracta 2*, who completed a 35-day motorbike journey from Nigeria to Belgium.
Ogboru, who embarked on the adventure on August 1, 2025, covered a distance of about 10,265 kilometres across two continents and 10 countries before arriving at the Nigerian Embassy in Brussels at exactly 12:47 p.m. on Thursday, September 4, 2025.
Her expedition, themed *“Ride for Women Inclusivity and Cross-Border Research,”* was designed to advocate gender inclusivity, amplify girl-child empowerment, and promote cross-border research highlighting connectivity, mobility, and cultural exchange among nations.
The NCS said her arrival at the embassy was greeted with jubilation, underscoring pride in her courage, resilience, and symbolic representation of Nigerian women breaking barriers across diverse fields.
According to the Comptroller-General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, MFR, Ogboru’s accomplishment is a source of national inspiration, showcasing determination and vision that transcend boundaries. He commended her for her bravery and urged Nigerians to draw lessons from her pioneering feat.
The Service also noted that the achievement aligns with its commitment to supporting initiatives that project a positive national image, strengthen bilateral relations, and drive conversations around inclusivity, resilience, and innovation.
As Ogboru prepares for her return journey to Nigeria, the NCS reaffirmed its support for bold initiatives that not only promote institutional growth but also advance societal values.
