The Western Ports Authority Police Command has assured members of the public, port users, maritime stakeholders, and the Muslim faithful of robust security measures ahead of the Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
With an expected increase in human and vehicular activities during the festive period, the Command announced the deployment of adequate personnel and reinforcement of operational strategies to ensure the safety of lives, property, and critical maritime infrastructure within and around the port environment.
Commissioner of Police, CP Olanrewaju Olawale Ishola, psc(+), mnips, emphasized the Command’s readiness to maintain law and order throughout the celebration. He noted that patrols have been intensified, security visibility increased at strategic locations, and intelligence-gathering mechanisms fully activated to prevent any security threats.
The Command called on members of the public to remain law-abiding, stay vigilant, and report suspicious movements or incidents to the nearest police formation.
Extending festive greetings, the Command wished all Muslim faithful a peaceful and joyous Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
