
Rear Admiral Kenedy Chukwuemeka Ezete, newly appointed as the 42nd Flag Officer Commanding (FOC) of the Eastern Naval Command, has officially assumed office and begun his tour of duty with a strong show of inter-service cooperation.
On Tuesday, July 9, 2025, Rear Admiral Ezete received a courtesy visit from Air Vice Marshal S.K. Aneke, the Air Officer Commanding (AOC) Mobility Command, Nigerian Air Force, Yenagoa. The visit, which took place at the Command Headquarters, was a reaffirmation of the deepening relationship between the Nigerian Navy and the Nigerian Air Force.
During their interaction, both commanders emphasized the need for continued collaboration in addressing security challenges in the South-South region. Discussions centered around enhanced air reconnaissance support, real-time intelligence sharing, and joint operational strategies to bolster regional stability and maritime security.
Air Vice Marshal Aneke congratulated Admiral Ezete on his appointment and pledged the full support of the Mobility Command throughout his tenure. In his remarks, Rear Admiral Ezete appreciated the AOC’s visit and expressed the Navy’s readiness to work closely with sister services in advancing national security objectives.
Principal Staff Officers of the Eastern Naval Command were present at the event, which concluded with the exchange of commemorative souvenirs and a group photograph to mark the occasion.
