The Police Service Commission (PSC) has lauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Chief Nyesom Wike, for the completion and commissioning of major road infrastructure in the Dakibiyu District of Jabi, Abuja.
The commendation was made on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, during the official commissioning of the newly constructed Collector Road CN8 (Asuquo Okon Street) connecting Arterial Road N5 (Obafemi Awolowo Way) to Arterial Road N1, along with several adjoining roads in the area.
Vice President Senator Kashim Shettima, GCON, presided over the commissioning, which drew the attendance of dignitaries, including representatives of the Police Service Commission and other eminent Nigerians. The event took place along Asuquo Okon Street, directly in front of the PSC Corporate Headquarters.
Speaking on behalf of the Commission, PSC Secretary Chief Onyemuche Nnamani expressed deep appreciation to the President for prioritizing infrastructural development, especially in areas that had long been neglected.
“The Police Service Commission is one of the major beneficiaries of this newly constructed road network. We are eternally grateful to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Chief Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, for his resolve to rehabilitate these critical roads,” Nnamani stated.
He noted that the improved road infrastructure would significantly ease access to the PSC headquarters and stimulate economic activity in the surrounding Dakibiyu area.
Chief Nnamani also called on Nigerians to continue supporting the Tinubu-led administration, emphasizing that projects like these are clear indications of the government’s commitment to delivering the dividends of democracy.
He assured that the Police Service Commission will remain steadfast in ensuring that the Nigeria Police Force operates within the bounds of the law while being encouraged to serve with excellence.
