In what has been described as a groundbreaking step toward reshaping Nigeria’s political and socio-economic future, a coalition of patriotic Nigerians from diverse political, ethnic, and regional backgrounds has unveiled a new political movement aimed at national rebirth.
The movement, which is already being hailed as Nigeria’s most expansive political coalition in recent history, convened a high-level meeting at a prominent military barracks in Abuja, bringing together delegates from all 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Described by insiders as a convergence of men and women of proven integrity and national relevance, the meeting spanned three hours and focused on Nigeria’s current political and economic uncertainties. Delegates discussed pressing national issues, including leadership, youth empowerment, moral revival, and the urgent need to foster unity across religious and ethnic divides.
A senior figure at the meeting noted that the newly formed group is committed to “resetting Nigeria’s moral, economic, and leadership compass,” and intends to do so by mobilizing citizens across generational and geographical lines.
“This is not just another political platform—it’s a mission to revive the soul of our nation,” said one of the conveners. “We are determined to redefine how leadership is understood, embraced, and delivered in this country.”
According to a communiqué issued at the end of the meeting, the movement plans to roll out a full leadership structure in the coming days, including national, state, local government, ward, and polling unit coordinators. A formal mission and vision statement will be unveiled at an upcoming National Conference and Inaugural Launch, which is already generating anticipation among political watchers and civil society actors.
Analysts believe the emergence of this movement could mark a significant turning point in Nigeria’s democratic evolution, with potential to inspire broader citizen participation and a reawakening of civic responsibility.
