Dr. Onyeali-Ikpe gave the charge during a Women’s Roundtable held over the weekend at the Fidelity SME Hub in Gbagada, Lagos. The event, themed “Mentorship with Dr. Nneka Onyeali-Ikpe”, was hosted under the Recognition and Networking arm of HerFidelity, a strategic initiative of the bank aimed at empowering women entrepreneurs and professionals.

Speaking on the vision behind *HerFidelity*, the trailblazing CEO explained that the programme was designed to support women beyond just financial inclusion.

“In my interactions with women across sectors, I’ve observed that while talent and drive are in abundant supply, there’s still a huge gap in access to capital, skills development, health support, and strategic networks,” she said. “HerFidelity bridges these gaps with four key pillars: access to finance, capacity building, wellness for work-life balance, and entrepreneurial support.”

The session featured a highly interactive mentorship dialogue where Dr. Onyeali-Ikpe candidly shared insights from her personal and professional journey. Her message to aspiring female leaders was clear and powerful:

“Have faith in your abilities, work diligently, and don’t be afraid to take calculated risks. Surround yourself with mentors, nurture valuable relationships, and prioritize collaboration—because success is never a solo effort,” she emphasized.

The event, which attracted women from various professions, also included fun contests and gift giveaways, with many participants leaving with prizes courtesy of Fidelity Bank.

Dr. Onyeali-Ikpe’s mentorship left a deep impression on attendees, affirming Fidelity Bank’s ongoing commitment to gender inclusion, leadership development, and economic empowerment for women across Nigeria.

Fidelity Bank continues to lead as a gender-forward institution, demonstrating that when women are equipped to succeed, entire communities and economies benefit.
