Fidelity Bank Donates Essential Items To Yaba Old People’s Home

Fidelity Bank Plc has once again demonstrated its commitment to community development through the donation of food and essential items to the Old People’s Home in Yaba, Lagos.

The charitable act was carried out by members of the bank’s Nexus Inductees Class as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, the Fidelity Helping Hands Programme (FHHP). Under the initiative, employees of the bank identify key needs in their immediate communities and raise funds to address them, with the bank matching their contributions to fund the selected projects.

Speaking during the donation, Dr. Meksley Nwagboh, Divisional Head of Brand and Communications at Fidelity Bank, highlighted the importance of giving back to communities that have played a significant role in the bank’s growth.

“Today’s donation is a token of our appreciation for our incredible parents and guardians who have raised outstanding individuals that trust us with their banking needs. Our donation to the Old People’s Home reflects our deep commitment to supporting the well-being and dignity of our senior citizens,” he said.

The Director-in-Charge of the home, Adetutu Ipaye, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the bank, describing the gesture as vital to sustaining the home’s mission and enhancing the lives of the elderly.

“Community support initiatives such as this from Fidelity Bank are vital to sustaining our mission and enhancing the quality of life for the elderly. We urge other organizations to follow in the bank’s footsteps,” she stated.

A beneficiary, Mr. Kamoru Adeyetu, also expressed his appreciation: “Your presence today has brought us immense joy, and our greatest happiness lies in seeing the younger generation thrive. Beyond the gifts, your visit means the world to us.”
