The Crime Reporters Association of Nigeria (CRAN) has congratulated the Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, on his promotion to the rank of Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP).
CRAN described the elevation as a well-deserved recognition of Adejobi’s professionalism, dedication to duty, and notable contributions to effective police–public communication in Nigeria.
Since assuming office as Force Public Relations Officer, Adejobi has been commended for his leadership, openness, and collaborative approach, which have strengthened ties between the Nigeria Police Force and the media. His commitment to transparency and the timely dissemination of credible information has earned him praise from journalists and the public alike.
The association also lauded the Inspector-General of Police and the Police Service Commission for acknowledging Adejobi’s exemplary service and rewarding his efforts with the promotion.
CRAN President, Olalekan Olabulo, noted that Adejobi’s accessibility and support for crime reporters have helped to promote accurate reportage, counter misinformation, and enhance the image of the Nigeria Police Force.
The association pledged continued collaboration with the Nigeria Police Force under Adejobi’s leadership as FPRO, particularly in advancing public safety, fostering trust, and encouraging responsible crime reporting.
On behalf of its members, CRAN wished DCP Adejobi success, wisdom, and protection as he takes on greater responsibilities in service to the nation.
