The Nigerian Army has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening its partnership with Elizade Nigeria Limited as part of efforts to improve logistics, sustain its operational fleet and enhance combat readiness across the country.
Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu, made this known while receiving the management of Elizade Nigeria Limited during a courtesy visit to the Army Headquarters in Abuja on Tuesday. He said collaboration with the private sector remains critical to building a more responsive and effective military.
Represented by the Chief of Policy and Plans (Army), Major General Bamidele Alabi, the army chief said a dependable and mission ready vehicle fleet is essential for rapid troop deployment, operational mobility and effective responses to emerging security threats nationwide.
He stressed that sustained partnerships with reputable private organisations have become increasingly important in strengthening fleet management, equipment maintenance, technical support and capacity building for military personnel.
Shaibu described the collaboration with Elizade Nigeria Limited as a key contributor to the Nigerian Army’s ongoing transformation agenda, which is focused on developing a technologically advanced, agile and self reliant force capable of meeting evolving security challenges.
He commended the company for its consistent support through the supply of operational vehicles, maintenance services, technical collaboration and industrial training for personnel in military workshop units. According to him, the contributions have reinforced the Army’s logistics system and improved operational efficiency.
The army chief also reiterated the military’s commitment to providing a secure environment that supports economic growth, attracts investment and strengthens national development. He said effective cooperation among the military, government institutions and the private sector remains vital to sustainable security.
Speaking during the visit, Branch Manager of Elizade Nigeria Limited, Mr. Adeniji Abiodun Adeyinka, conveyed the goodwill of the company’s founder, Chief Michael Ade Ojo, and its management to the Nigerian Army.
Adeyinka praised Lieutenant General Shaibu for his leadership and commended the Nigerian Army for its sustained efforts in tackling the nation’s security challenges. He pledged the company’s readiness to deepen its partnership with the Army through expanded technical support, fleet maintenance and industrial attachment opportunities.
The renewed collaboration is expected to further strengthen the Nigerian Army’s logistics capability, improve fleet sustainability and enhance operational effectiveness as the service continues to advance its mandate of safeguarding Nigeria’s sovereignty and protecting lives and property.
