As part of activities marking the Nigeria Police Women @ 70 celebration, female officers of the Lagos State Police Command paid courtesy visits to Rtd DIG Florence Adebanjo, a recruit who later became Cadet Inspector, first female CP Western Port Lagos; and Rtd DIG Cecilia Adebisi Ugowe, a Cadet Inspector, first Force Secretary. The visits were led by ACP Mary Ayim, AC Administration.
In a press communication released by SP Abimbola Adebisi, anipr, mipra, Police Public Relations Officer, Lagos State Command, it was disclosed that the team also visited Onike Girls Junior High School, Sabo, Yaba, where they conducted an outreach on self-awareness, mental health, career guidance, gender-based violence, and confidence building. Gifts were presented to both students and teachers.
