NAOWA 81 Division Reaches Out To Widows And Orphans In Lagos To Mark NADCEL 2025

As part of activities commemorating the Nigerian Army Day Celebration (NADCEL) 2025, the Nigerian Army Officers Wives Association (NAOWA), 81 Division Chapter, has carried out a humanitarian outreach to widows of fallen heroes and orphanage homes across Lagos and Ogun States.

The outreach, which held between July 3rd and 4th, 2025, was led by the Chairperson of NAOWA 81 Division, Mrs Zainab Farouk Mijinyawa, and executed through her representative and Ad-hoc Committee Chairperson, Mrs Uzoma Ejike, alongside other executives and members of the Association.

The team visited several locations, distributing essential food items and relief materials to widows of deceased officers and soldiers across all units and formations within the Division’s Area of Responsibility (AOR). Orphanage homes also received various forms of support during the exercise.

The beneficiaries expressed deep appreciation to NAOWA for the thoughtful gesture, describing the outreach as both impactful and memorable. Many praised the association’s continued support for families of military personnel and its compassion toward vulnerable members of society.

This initiative underscores NAOWA’s and the Nigerian Army’s unwavering commitment to the welfare of its personnel, even beyond active service, and highlights the humane face of the military institution.

The 81 Division NAOWA chapter, through this act of service, has brought joy and relief to many, reinforcing its mission to uplift and support those in need within its jurisdiction.
