
The Ijegun community in Lagos has honoured CSP Oluwarotimi Akinola Aduroja, Commander of the CP Tactical Team, SHARK Ijegun/Idimu Annex, with the Hero of the Community award in recognition of his outstanding role in restoring peace and security in the area.
The award, presented by the leadership of the Peace Progressive Community Development Association (PPCDA), Ijegun, was a mark of gratitude for CSP Aduroja’s tireless efforts in combating crime and promoting safety within the community.
Speaking during the award presentation ceremony, the leaders of PPCDA commended CSP Aduroja for his unwavering dedication to duty, noting that his proactive approach and commitment had led to a sharp decline in criminal activities, thereby creating a safer and more conducive environment for residents and businesses.
“CSP Akinola’s leadership has brought a sense of calm and safety to Ijegun. He has demonstrated what it means to serve with integrity and vision,” one of the community leaders said.
Also lending support, the leadership of Alimosho Local Government Area praised CSP Aduroja’s gallantry. The Vice Chairman of the council, who paid a courtesy visit to the commander’s office on behalf of the Chairman, commended him and his team for their exceptional service to the people of Alimosho.
She acknowledged that CSP Aduroja’s security interventions had not only enhanced public safety in Ijegun but also contributed to local economic growth, as businesses now operate in a more secure environment.
“Your strategic leadership and community-focused approach to policing have made a huge difference. We are proud of the positive change we see today,” the Vice Chairman said, while assuring him of the council’s continued cooperation.
PPCDA leaders also highlighted CSP Aduroja’s unique approach to policing, which prioritizes community engagement and intelligence gathering. They noted that his rapport with residents had fostered a culture of trust and collaboration, allowing for more effective responses to security concerns.

In his response, CSP Aduroja expressed gratitude to the community for the recognition and dedicated the award to his officers, describing them as the real heroes working day and night to secure lives and property.
