Muyiwa Ademola Reveals How He Collapsed on Odunlade Adekola’s Movie Set Despite Doctors’ Warning

Nollywood actor Muyiwa Ademola has recounted a frightening health experience he had while filming Warlord: Olori Ogun, a movie produced by fellow actor Odunlade Adekola.

The actor revealed that he collapsed on the movie set after experiencing dizziness, weakness, excessive sweating and difficulty standing.

According to Ademola, Odunlade had informed him about the movie project in December 2024, with filming scheduled to begin in February 2025. However, he had to travel to Canada in January and promised to return for the production.

Upon returning to Nigeria, the actor joined the production weeks after filming had commenced. Unfortunately, he experienced a health scare while preparing for his first scene.

Recounting the incident in a social media post on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, Ademola explained that he became so weak that his legs could no longer carry him.

Odunlade reportedly noticed his condition and immediately worked with members of the crew to assist him. The actor also revealed that arrangements were made to take him to the hospital, but he declined.

In a shocking revelation, Ademola disclosed that his doctors had advised him against continuing with the production because he was not fit enough to work. However, he admitted that he ignored their advice and continued filming.

The actor explained that he did not want to disappoint Odunlade, who had trusted him with an important role in the project. He further revealed that he resorted to self-medication until filming was completed.

Reflecting on the experience, Ademola appreciated Odunlade for his support throughout the production and for the trust he placed in him.

Reacting to the revelation, Odunlade expressed shock at learning the full details of what his colleague had experienced during filming. He also appreciated Ademola for his commitment to the movie.

Warlord: Olori Ogun features several popular Nollywood stars, including Odunlade Adekola, Muyiwa Ademola, Femi Adebayo, Toyin Abraham, Faithia Balogun, Ibrahim Chatta and Eniola Ajao, among others.

The revelation has highlighted the sacrifices actors sometimes make to fulfil professional commitments, even when faced with serious personal challenges.

However, Ademola’s account also raises an important question about the pressure entertainers may face to continue working despite health concerns.
