Ashny bags first career award at the 10th anniversary edition of the Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival (TINFF) on the 12th of september, 2026 at the Pearson Convention Center, Brampton, Ontario Canada.
The ceremony which was attended by guests from all over the world saw Ashny battle it out with other global contenders in the category of Best International Music Video for her song ‘Like I Care’ off her EP ‘Wildcat’.
The Pop/R&B tune marks her first professional win since releasing her debut album ‘Ashny Ain’t Playing’ in October 2023 and multiple other EPs and albums afterwards including ‘Charity Begins’, ‘Celebrations’, ‘Ashny Swings Her Hips’, ‘H.O.E’, ‘Femme Fatale’, ‘Femalepreneur’, ‘Ashny&Mooh: SHemancipation’.
The award winnig video was filmed by music video maestro Abula [Husband to Comedy skit genius Taaooma] scripted, produced and co-directed by Koffi Tha Guru.
The video also features dramatic expressions starring Mario Davidson Omasoro and Princess Ada.
Ashny was represented at the awards ceremony by veteran actor Bukola Thomas who picked it up on her behalf with a heartwarming acceptance speech.
The song is written by Koffi Tha Guru and produced by Lychy, and available on all platforms.
Ashny is set to release her next body of works which includes her much anticipated album ‘EllEvated’, and the EPs, ‘P.O.M.E’, and ‘A Dose Of Lagbaja’
The first single off the EllEvated album is titled ‘Fresh’, a song of gratitude and celebration and is now available on all platforms.
Ashny also just finished filming her newmusical movie ‘Maale:Strong Woman’ starring William Benson, Elvina Ibru, Gloria Ibru, Bukola Thomas, Mooh and Dede Mabiaku.
