Fidelity Bank Plc has reaffirmed its commitment to youth development by sponsoring the 2026 Young Innovators Camp, a free educational programme designed to equip Nigerian children with practical Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) skills needed to succeed in an increasingly technology driven world.
The initiative, organised by MONAT, is expected to provide a rich learning environment where children will develop creativity, innovation, critical thinking and problem solving abilities through practical and engaging activities.
The camp, which commenced on July 20, 2026, is targeted at children between the ages of four and 10, offering them an opportunity to gain early exposure to STEM education in a fun and interactive setting.
Participants will engage in guided hands on projects, age appropriate STEM lessons and collaborative learning sessions aimed at stimulating curiosity while encouraging practical application of scientific and technological concepts.
The programme also features financial literacy classes, creative workshops, interactive games and confidence building exercises designed to prepare young learners for future academic and career opportunities.
Speaking on the partnership, the Divisional Head, Brand and Communications at Fidelity Bank Plc, Dr. Meksley Nwagboh, said the future belongs to individuals who can think creatively, solve complex problems and harness technology to improve lives.
He explained that Fidelity Bank believes such abilities should be nurtured from childhood, adding that the Young Innovators Camp offers children a unique opportunity to explore STEM through practical experiences that inspire confidence and innovation.
According to him, the bank remains committed to ensuring that every participant leaves the programme with renewed confidence, believing they possess the ability to shape the future through knowledge, creativity and innovation.
Nwagboh further described education, particularly STEM education, as a strategic investment in Nigeria’s future, stressing that today’s young learners represent the next generation of engineers, scientists, entrepreneurs, inventors and technology leaders.
He noted that the collaboration with MONAT reflects Fidelity Bank’s determination to nurture a generation equipped with the skills, mindset and resilience required to solve real world challenges and contribute meaningfully to national development.
The sponsorship also strengthens Fidelity Bank’s growing portfolio of educational and youth focused interventions aimed at expanding access to quality learning opportunities for children across Nigeria.
The initiative complements the bank’s existing corporate social responsibility programmes, including SWEETA and other interventions focused on education, youth empowerment, skills development and sustainable community growth.
To further enrich the learning experience, every participant will receive a specially curated gift pack containing educational resources and STEM learning materials to encourage continuous learning beyond the camp.
With participation offered at no cost, the organisers have encouraged parents and guardians to register children within the eligible age bracket, describing the camp as a unique opportunity to inspire the next generation of innovators while laying a solid foundation for Nigeria’s future knowledge economy.
