The Commissioner of Police, Ogun State Command, Bode Ojajuni, has commended the Police Officers’ Wives Association for its steadfast support toward the welfare and stability of police families in the state.
Ojajuni gave the commendation while receiving members of the Police Officers’ Wives Association, Ogun State Chapter, during a courtesy visit to the Command Headquarters in Eleweran, Abeokuta.
The delegation was led by the Acting Chairperson of the association, Bolanle Adeoye, who praised the police commissioner for what she described as purposeful leadership and commitment to personnel welfare.
She noted that POWA remained focused on strengthening family support systems within the Police community while complementing ongoing efforts aimed at improving the wellbeing of officers and their families.
Adeoye also applauded the commissioner for sustaining an atmosphere that encourages discipline, professionalism and operational efficiency across the Command.
According to her, the association would continue to collaborate with the Ogun State Police Command in advancing welfare based initiatives for officers and their dependants.
Responding, Ojajuni described POWA as a critical support structure that contributes immensely to the emotional and social stability of police personnel, especially officers involved in demanding security operations.
The police commissioner stated that the role played by officers’ families remained indispensable to the overall effectiveness and morale of personnel serving across the state.
He further applauded the association for its continuous contributions to community development, empowerment initiatives and welfare interventions within the Police community.
Ojajuni stressed that the Command would continue to strengthen its partnership with POWA in promoting unity, stability and support for police families.
He assured the delegation that officers’ welfare would remain a top priority of the Command as part of broader efforts to improve operational effectiveness and institutional cohesion.
The commissioner also encouraged the association to sustain programmes capable of promoting empowerment, family bonding and positive values among personnel and their households.
Members of the Command management team who attended the meeting equally commended POWA for its commitment to welfare advancement and family support, urging the association to maintain its contributions toward a more motivated and resilient Police workforce in Ogun State.
