FG Releases National Boxing Team List For The Canadian Tournament

The Nigeria Boxing Federation (NBF) has officially released names of boxers and officials for the upcoming Golden Gloves Canada Tournament and Training Tour organised by Legacy Boxing Club.

A letter dated 8th April, 2026 and signed by Secretary General of NBF, Vivian Azimene showed that the team consists of 23 members made up of boxers and officials. There are:

The team members have been invited to a camp in Lagos beginning from 1st May, 2026 in preparation for the Canada Tournament which holds from 1st to 5th July, 2026 at Legacy Boxing Club, Calgary Alberta, Canada.

The tournament and training tour is perceived to be a very important outing as it would avail the Nigeria team an opportunity to engage their counterparts from other countries in preparation for the Commonwealth Games that would take place in late July, 2026 to early August in Glasgow Scotland.
