Nestlé Pure Life has emerged as the 2025 Product of the Year, clinching the prestigious recognition from Leadership Newspaper in a development that underscores its growing dominance in Nigeria’s competitive bottled water segment.
The award, widely regarded as a benchmark for excellence, celebrates products that have demonstrated outstanding performance, innovation, and measurable impact within their categories across the West African market.
According to a statement issued by Corporate Affairs Manager, Toju Egbebi, the editorial board of Leadership Newspaper singled out
Nestlé Pure Life for its consistent delivery of safe, high-quality drinking water, its efforts in advancing sustainability, its innovative response to evolving consumer needs, and its work in raising awareness about clean water in Nigeria.
The citation further highlighted the brand’s responsiveness to evolving consumer preferences, particularly in promoting access to safe drinking water and driving awareness around hydration and public health.
At the core of its operations is a rigorous production process that ensures premium quality, including protected water sourcing, multi-stage purification, and the addition of essential minerals to enhance taste and nutritional value.
Equally significant is its environmental footprint strategy, which has seen the adoption of 50 per cent recycled PET bottles, recyclable clear caps, and the rollout of its compact 33cl bottle tailored for convenience and reduced water wastage.
Speaking on the recognition, Olutayo Olatunji, Business Executive Officer for Nestlé Waters, said the award reflects the brand’s enduring connection with consumers and its commitment to delivering consistent value.
He noted that beyond hydration, the company remains focused on offering a premium experience anchored on trust, reliability, and daily consumer satisfaction.
On sustainability, Victoria Uwadoka reiterated the company’s resolve to minimise environmental impact, stressing that eco-friendly packaging and responsible production remain central to its long-term strategy.
From its pocket-friendly 33cl offering to larger family-sized variants, Nestlé Pure Life continues to set the pace in the hydration market, reinforcing its reputation for quality, safety, and sustainability.
