OSUN 2026 LOADING: APC Deploys Door-To-Door Strategy As Bola Oyebamiji Gains Ground Across Communities

The political tempo in Osun State is rising steadily as the All Progressives Congress (APC) deepens its grassroots mobilisation drive, signalling an early but determined push toward the 2026 governorship election. In a calculated show of structure and stamina, the party has embarked on an extensive door-to-door campaign, amplifying the policy reforms of Bola Tinubu while consolidating support for governorship aspirant Bola Oyebamiji.

The mobilisation crystallised in a symbolic “Walk to Win” rally that traversed key local government areas in the Osun West senatorial district. From Ola-Oluwa to Ayedire and Iwo, party faithful and residents turned out in significant numbers, transforming the exercise into both a demonstration of strength and a strategic outreach effort.

Organisers described the rally as more than a procession; it was, they said, a statement of intent. Designed to reinforce party cohesion and widen voter engagement, the initiative underscores the APC’s resolve to build an enduring grassroots architecture well ahead of the electoral season.

At the heart of the mobilisation is a renewed emphasis on direct voter contact. The campaign structure now pivots on house-to-house sensitisation, aimed at communicating the achievements and reform agenda of the Tinubu administration while situating Oyebamiji’s ambition within a broader continuity narrative.

Speaking during the rally, party chieftain Peter Ogundeji, popularly known as Apata, said the inauguration of a vibrant youth wing marked a critical phase in the mobilisation effort. According to him, the youth-driven canvassing strategy would ensure that the party’s message resonates across wards and polling units.

He stressed that sustained engagement at the grassroots, coupled with internal unity and disciplined coordination, would remain the pillars upon which electoral victory would be secured. For the APC in Osun, he noted, mobilisation is not episodic but continuous.

The state chairman of the party, Chief Tajudeen Lawal, commended members for what he described as an impressive turnout and unwavering commitment. He urged supporters to carry the message of Oyebamiji’s governorship aspiration to every community, insisting that early consolidation remains decisive in competitive contests.

Lawal expressed confidence that the growing mobilisation machinery would translate into tangible electoral dividends. He maintained that the party’s structured approach, anchored on visibility, engagement and message clarity, positions it strongly ahead of 2026.

Youth participation also featured prominently in the discourse. The APC Osun West Senatorial Youth Leader, Imran Majeed Adekunle, called on young voters to embrace unity and take ownership of the mobilisation drive, describing the demographic as a strategic force in shaping electoral outcomes.

As the 2026 governorship race gradually comes into view, the APC’s intensified grassroots operations suggest a campaign already in motion. With structures being activated and alliances strengthened, the unfolding political narrative in Osun points to an early contest of organisation, endurance and influence.
