The Commissioner of Police in charge of the Police Special Fraud Unit (PSFU), Lagos, CP Rose Chollom Dung, msp, sp, has decorated four Team Managers of the Unit with the new rank of Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) following their elevation by the Police Service Commission (PSC).
In a statement signed by the Unit’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Ovie Kenneth Ewhubare, anipr, ACArb, CP Dung congratulated the newly promoted officers for their dedication, professionalism, and exceptional contributions to the Nigeria Police Force.
Speaking during the decoration ceremony, she described the promotion as both a reward for diligence and a call to higher responsibility, urging the officers to remain steadfast in upholding the values of integrity, discipline, and service.
“This elevation should inspire you to rededicate yourselves to duty. Promotions are not only a recognition of past achievements but an opportunity to contribute more meaningfully to the operational excellence of the Unit and to the vision of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, PhD, NPM for a more professional and service-oriented Force,” CP Dung stated.
She further encouraged the officers to hold their new ranks in high esteem and demonstrate exemplary leadership in their various assignments, particularly in the Unit’s critical mandate of combating financial and cyber-related crimes.
Responding on behalf of the newly promoted officers, CSP Eyitayo Johnson Olaiya expressed heartfelt appreciation to the Commissioner for her inspiring leadership and support. He pledged their continued loyalty, professionalism, and commitment to the service of the nation and to the ideals of the Nigeria Police Force.
The ceremony, held at the PSFU Headquarters in Lagos, was attended by senior officers, colleagues, and family members who celebrated the milestone achievement of the newly decorated officers.
