…Charges Religious and Societal Influencers to Champion Patriotism and Unity as Police Command Hosts Prophet Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere

In furtherance of strategic engagements with critical stakeholders ahead of the November 8, 2025 Anambra Governorship Election, the Commissioner of Police, Anambra State Command, CP Ikioye Orutugu, fwc, mnips, PhD, has intensified non-kinetic approaches to peacebuilding, urging religious leaders and societal influencers to leverage their platforms in promoting peace, unity, and patriotism across the state.
According to a statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, Anambra State Command, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, the Commissioner made this call on Wednesday, October 23, 2025, when he received the Founder of the Mountain of Holy Ghost Intervention and Deliverance Ministry, Prophet Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere (Odumeje), who paid a courtesy visit to the Command Headquarters in Awka.
While welcoming the clergyman, CP Orutugu reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to continuous engagement with all segments of society in order to ensure a peaceful, credible, and violence-free electoral process. He emphasized that leaders wielding moral and social influence have a sacred responsibility to guide their followers toward peace, lawful conduct, and love for the nation — especially during politically sensitive periods.
The CP further called on the clergy and faith-based organizations to collaborate with the Police in sensitizing their congregations on the importance of peaceful participation and adherence to law and order throughout the election season.
In his remarks, Prophet Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere commended the Police Command for its inclusive and proactive engagement strategy, while praying for divine protection, wisdom, and strength for the leadership of the Force. He pledged his continuous prayers and support towards achieving peace and stability in the State.
The visit, according to the statement, underscores the Command’s unwavering commitment to community-driven and non-kinetic security strategies aimed at sustaining peace, enhancing public confidence, and ensuring credible elections in Anambra State.
