QNET Hosts Precious Igbonwelundu, Seven Other West African Journalists At V-Malaysia 2025

In a strategic move to deepen understanding of its business model and dispel misconceptions, global direct selling and e-commerce company QNET has hosted eight West African journalists—including Nigeria’s award-winning journalist Precious Igbonwelundu—at the 2025 edition of its flagship convention, V-Malaysia.

The weeklong tour, which began on June 18, 2025, included journalists from Nigeria, Ghana, Togo, Sierra Leone, Guinea Conakry, and Senegal. Participants toured QNET’s parent company, the QI Group’s corporate headquarters in Kuala Lumpur, and its extensive facilities across Malaysia. The visit also provided insight into the wide range of QNET products and services.

Themed “Together We Rise,” this year’s V-Malaysia was held at the Spice Arena on Penang Island, Southeast Asia’s largest multipurpose event venue. The event gathered over 8,000 participants from more than 30 countries and five regions.

The journalists were first lodged at the five-star Hilton Hotel in Kuala Lumpur, where they visited iconic landmarks such as the Petronas Twin Towers and the second tallest building in the world. At the QI Group’s headquarters, the group was introduced to the company’s customer-centric philosophy, evident in its decor and corporate messaging.

From Kuala Lumpur, the media team was transported to Penang’s Amari Spice Hotel, where V-Malaysia officially kicked off on June 21. The convention featured speeches by the Deputy Chief Minister of Penang, QNET founders, board members, and young entrepreneurs who have excelled in direct selling through ethical practices.

QNET used the opportunity to unveil its latest innovations in health, wellness, and education. New products included Quick Focus, a brain-support supplement; upgrades to QLearn, its digital learning platform offering entrepreneurship and leadership training; and the launch of wellness devices such as Amezcua Chi Pendant 4, Bio Disc 3, E-Guard X, and Bio Light 3. Attendees also explored a wide range of cosmetics, supplements, and luxury accessories.

Wearing VIP tags, the journalists had full access to the event’s venues, exhibitions, and leadership. They engaged top executives in a dedicated press briefing, including Deputy CEO Jean Francois Huertas, Chief Communications Officer Ramya Chandrasekaran, Chief Marketing Officer Trevor Kuna, and Chief Legal Officer Nikhil Patel.

The executives provided detailed explanations of the distinction between QNET and the QI Group, and reiterated QNET’s commitment to ethical business through its “Say No” campaign—an initiative to combat fraud and misrepresentation. They also highlighted the WhatsApp Compliance Line (+233 256 630 005) for reporting misconduct, and the company’s commitment to social impact through the RYTHM Foundation and FinGreen, a financial literacy project for underserved communities.

The tour also included a visit to Quest International University (QIU) in Ipoh, owned by the QI Group. The journalists explored the university’s advanced facilities and were briefed by the Vice Chancellor on its 15-year journey, academic achievements, and vision. The visit was also aimed at countering fraudulent claims that exploit QIU’s identity to scam individuals, particularly in West Africa.

The familiarisation trip provided the journalists with a clearer understanding of QNET’s operations, ethics, and contributions to development both in Africa and globally. The initiative marks another milestone in the company’s ongoing efforts to promote transparency and build credibility within the international business and media community.
