Nestlé has announced the appointment of Samer Chedid as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of its Central and West Africa Region (CWAR), effective immediately. He succeeds Mauricio Alarcón, who has taken on a new leadership role within the global Nestlé group.

Chedid, who previously served as CEO of Nestlé Indonesia, is a seasoned executive with over two decades of experience across the company’s operations in the Middle East, Asia, and Africa. He is familiar with the Central and West African market, having once served as Country Manager for Nestlé Ghana.
In his new capacity, Mr. Chedid will lead Nestlé’s operations across 25 countries in the region, overseeing a team of more than 5,000 employees.
Commenting on his appointment, Chedid expressed enthusiasm about returning to the region:

Chedid began his Nestlé journey in 1998 as a Sales Development Manager. He subsequently held several senior positions including General Business Manager in Bahrain, Qatar, and Dubai; Country Manager for Nestlé Ghana; and Sales Director for the Middle East Region. He later became Country Manager for Saudi Arabia and then CEO of Nestlé Pakistan before his most recent role in Indonesia.
Known for his strategic thinking, people-oriented leadership style, and ability to build strong teams, Mr. Chedid brings a wealth of experience to his new role in Central and West Africa.
