The Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of the Maritime Police Command, AIG Musa Yusuf Garba, psc(+), IIPS, PSPS, has extended warm greetings to Muslim faithful, maritime stakeholders, and the general public on the occasion of Eid-el-Adha.
Describing the festival as a sacred moment of faith, sacrifice, and obedience to the will of Almighty Allah, the AIG noted that Eid-el-Adha offers a unique opportunity to reflect on values that strengthen the collective commitment to duty, integrity, and national service.
“Eid is a time to renew our dedication to patriotism, compassion, and cooperation, especially as we work together toward national development and peaceful coexistence,” AIG Garba stated.
He further reassured the public that the Maritime Police Command remains steadfast in its responsibility to secure Nigeria’s territorial waters, ports, and key maritime assets. According to him, comprehensive security measures have been put in place to maintain safety and tranquility across waterways during and after the festive period.
“As we celebrate, may this sacred festival usher in peace across our shores, unity among our people, and divine blessings upon our great nation,” he added.
