Fidelity Bank Plc has announced a new initiative to empower 100 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) across Nigeria with digital tools aimed at enhancing business operations, productivity, and long-term sustainability.
The initiative, launched under the Fidelity SME Empowerment Program (FSEP), is part of the bank’s broader mission to support entrepreneurial growth and economic inclusion through digital transformation. Each selected SME will receive a comprehensive digital toolkit, which includes a POS desktop system, ERPRev software access, a receipt printer and barcode scanner, inventory management tools, business training and support, and a branded Fidelity POS system with onboarding assistance.
Commenting on the initiative, Osita Ede, Divisional Head, Product Development at Fidelity Bank Plc, said, “Studies have shown the exponential growth SMEs can achieve through digitalisation. As Nigeria’s leading SME partner, we are walking the talk by providing free digital toolkits to our customers. This aligns with our mission to help individuals grow, businesses thrive, and economies prosper.”
As part of its World SME Day 2025 celebrations, Fidelity Bank also opened up access to its SME Hub in Gbagada, Lagos, free of charge, and hosted a special mentoring session for female entrepreneurs led by the bank’s Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Nneka Onyeali-Ikpe.
These efforts complement Fidelity Bank’s regular SME masterclasses and ongoing capacity-building support for small businesses and creatives in Nigeria.
Ranked among Nigeria’s top financial institutions, Fidelity Bank serves more than 9.1 million customers through its digital platforms, 255 business offices nationwide, and an international subsidiary in the United Kingdom, FidBank UK Limited.
The bank has received multiple recognitions for its commitment to innovation and SME development. These include the 2024 Excellence in Digital Transformation and MSME Banking Award by BusinessDay, the Most Innovative Mobile Banking Application by Global Business Outlook, and the Best Bank for SMEs in Nigeria by Euromoney Awards for Excellence.
