Comptroller Victoria Aliboh Assumes Duty As New FCT Customs Area Controller

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service witnessed a change of leadership on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, as Comptroller Victoria Chinwe Aliboh formally took over from the outgoing Customs Area Controller, Comptroller Olu Adebisi, in a brief handover ceremony held at the Command’s Conference Hall in Abuja.

Comptroller Adebisi, whose tenure spanned one year and nine months, was commended for his numerous contributions to the Command. His administration recorded notable achievements in revenue generation, compliance enforcement among excise factories, and the establishment of bonded terminals within the FCT.

Addressing officers during the handover, Comptroller Adebisi expressed deep gratitude to the personnel of the Command for their support throughout his tenure. He described the incoming CAC as a seasoned and results-driven officer, who previously served as Comptroller, Risk Management, in the Department of ICT & Modernization at the Customs Headquarters.

He urged officers to extend the same cooperation to Comptroller Aliboh to ensure continuity in the Command’s progress and to support the mandate of the Comptroller-General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi.

In her remarks, Comptroller Aliboh thanked her predecessor for his service and congratulated him on the successful completion of his career. She acknowledged the challenges ahead but expressed confidence that with the support and dedication of the officers, the Command would build on the solid foundation already laid.

She emphasized her commitment to upholding the service’s core objectives and urged officers to work as a team to meet the revenue targets and operational goals of the Service.

The ceremony concluded with goodwill messages from senior officers, praising Comptroller Adebisi’s leadership and wishing him well in retirement. The event was attended by Assistant Comptrollers, the Staff Officer General, and other senior officers of the Command.

The new CAC, Comptroller Aliboh, is expected to bring her wealth of experience and strategic leadership to bear as she leads the FCT Area Command into a new chapter.
