Anambra State Police PRO Honoured At Inspector General of Police Awards

The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the Anambra State Police Command has been recognized with a prestigious award by the Nigeria Police High Command at the Inspector General of Police Awards Ceremony held in Abuja.

The event, which brought together top-ranking officers and distinguished guests, highlighted exceptional service and dedication within the Force. Receiving the award, the Anambra State PPRO humbly noted that the honour was not a personal accolade but a reflection of collective commitment and teamwork by officers and men of the Anambra State Police Command.

“This award is not a trophy; it was never a lone effort. It represents a renewed vision and a deeper resolve to begin a new chapter in our journey towards excellence,” the PPRO said.

Expressing gratitude and a sense of responsibility, the PPRO stated that the recognition serves as a call to greater service and not a symbol of arrival.

“I carry this honour with humility and a fierce determination to do even more. I’ve seen men and women who represent the very best of our nation — officers who, through sweat and sacrifice, courage and character, have risen above the call of duty.”

Reaffirming the command’s dedication to the public, the PPRO emphasized that citizen feedback remains a vital tool in shaping policing strategies across the state.

“Our greatest resource is the trust of the people we serve. Please don’t get tired of assessing us. It is from your comments that most of our decisions as a Command are drawn.”

The award, according to the PPRO, signifies the Anambra State Police Command’s continued pledge to “protect with courage and serve with compassion.”

Appreciation was also extended to the leadership of the Force for their support:

“Thank you to the Inspector General of Police, the AIG Zone 13, the Commissioner of Police Anambra State, the Force PRO, and to everyone who believes in us. This award is a shared honour.”

The ceremony underscored the Nigeria Police Force’s commitment to recognising integrity, excellence, and public trust in law enforcement service delivery.
