ZAMFARA POWA CHAIRPERSON VISITS TALATA MAFARA AND SHINKAFI AREA COMMANDS

“Seeks for unity among families of officers and men”

The Chairperson Police Officers wives Association and wife of the Commissioner of Police Zamfara State Police Command, Hajiya Jummai Mairo Abutu Yaro has visited Talata Mafara and Shinkafi LGAs as part of her familiarisation tour aimed at meeting the wives of officers and men of the command. This was disclosed to Hybrid Online News Nigeria by the Spokesperson of the command SP Mohammed Shehu ANIPR.

During the familiarisation visit, the Chairperson paid a courtesy visit on Royal Highnesses and Local Government Sole Administors where she thanked them for their continuous support and encouragement to the Police officers and their families.

She also narrated some of the laudable programmes initiated by the POWA under her leadership which includes POLICE Skill Acquisition empowerment programmes where women including wives and families of civilian populace will be trained on different areas of specialistion so that they can rely on themselves and even assist others.

She further informed them that, at the moment, a plan to establish a Police Acquisition Centre in Gusau has been concluded, and therefore Sought for their support and cooperation in this regard.

In their response, both the Royal Highnesses and the Local Government Sole Administrators commended the chairperson and further promised to assist the association in all its activities.

While meeting with POWA members in Talata Mafara, Bakura, Maradun, Shinkafi and Zurmi Divisions under Talata Mafara and Shinkafi Area Commands, the chairperson called on them to always work together and assist each other in the spirit of unity. She encouraged them to participate actively in POWA activities so that the unity and progress of the association can be enhanced.

The chairperson further promised that POWA under her leadership will carry everyone along and assist the most needy ones among them so that the dividends of POWA activities can be felt by every member.

In attendance during the visit were the Area Commanders of Talata and Shinkafi as well as the five (5) DPOs of the two (2) Area Commands.
