VIDEO: Dana Air Flight Narrowly Avoids Collision At Lagos Airport, 83 Passengers Safe


A potentially catastrophic incident was averted on Tuesday at the Murtala Muhammed Airport in Lagos when a Dana Air aircraft, with registration number 5N BKI, narrowly avoided colliding with another aircraft on the runway. The Dana Air flight, which originated from Abuja, had 83 passengers on board, who were left shaken but unharmed by the close call.

According to reports, passengers aboard the Dana Air flight were terrified as the aircraft came dangerously close to colliding with another plane while preparing to land at the Lagos airport. The situation, which unfolded rapidly, prompted swift action from the flight crew, who managed to avert disaster and safely bring the aircraft to a stop.

An investigation into the incident is currently underway, with the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) expected to impose stringent sanctions on Dana Air if any safety violations are found.

In response to the incident, Dana Air released a statement on Tuesday, confirming the runway incursion involving one of its aircraft and assuring the public of the safety of all passengers and crew on board. The airline expressed gratitude to the airport authorities and its crew for their prompt response in ensuring the safe disembarkation of passengers.
