The United Nations Peace and Positive Living Awareness Centre (UN-PEPOLAC) has conferred the prestigious title of Ambassador for World Peace (AmbP-UN) on Dr. Tim Atimoe, Managing Director of Timatimoe Consult Limited, in recognition of his contributions to peaceful living and human capital development.

The global body highlighted Dr. Atimoe’s solidarity with world peace and his commitment to empowering communities as key reasons for the honor. A certified life coach and public speaker, Atimoe received the certificate of investiture during a ceremony held over the weekend in Lagos.

With over 15 years of corporate experience, Dr. Atimoe’s philanthropic work through the Timatimoe Foundation has focused on empowering five million young people across Africa. His dedication to fostering peace and supporting youth development stood out as significant factors in his nomination. The nomination was signed by the International Coordinator of UN-PEPOLAC, Ambassador Bishop Festus Ozioma Ozoemena, who praised Atimoe’s positive track record and outstanding commitment to global peace.

“This honor is in recognition of your contributions to peaceful living at the community, societal, and professional levels, your efforts toward human capital development, and your solidarity to global peace, in line with the UN tenets and ideals for human dignity,” Ozoemena said.

In his acceptance speech, Dr. Atimoe expressed gratitude to the organizers, acknowledging the recognition as a call to further serve humanity and society. Reflecting on his challenging upbringing, he shared his journey of perseverance and determination.

“I am a firm believer that life is shaped by cause and effect, not by mere coincidence. My journey to this point is proof that with perseverance, anything is possible,” he remarked. Dr. Atimoe recounted how he faced numerous struggles growing up, including repeating primary school, dropping out twice, dealing with a stutter, and battling low self-esteem. Yet, through resilience, he rose above his circumstances.

“Standing here today, having received numerous awards across different sectors and now being recognized by the United Nations is a testament that our circumstances do not define us. Life has shown me that with determination and resilience, we can rise above even the most challenging of circumstances,” he added.

Dr. Atimoe’s story and his recognition serve as an inspiration to many, underscoring the power of dedication in making a positive impact on the world.
