Two Suspected Cultists Apprehended In Lagos, Community Demand IGP Intervention for Thorough Investigation

Resident of Gemade Estate has call on the attention of Inspector General Of Police, IGP Usman Baba Alkali to swiftly look into a case of notorious cultists arrested in their community.

They were arrested with firearm on Monday 16th of May, 2022 and were taken to Ipaja Police Division of Lagos State Command but later transferred to State CID Panti the next day, Tuesday 17th of May 2022.

The duo, a boy and son of a serving police man, Daniel Monday and Oluwaseyi Akinbi has made a confessional statement in the division and State CID to be cult boys, bukania

The arrest was made possible through vigilant operations of the security officers at the gate of Gemade Estate, a gun courier trying to gain access to the Estate to deliver a gun to a resident of the Estate. Sensing danger, the criminal suddenly took to his heels to evade being apprehended but luck ran out of him and he was rescued before being lynched by an angry mob who had pursued him. He was later handed over to the police, Lagos is no place for crime!

The information reaching us is that, police at Panti, D9 unit precisely are trying to release the boys without taken them through judicial process and meanwhile, the community wasn’t comfortable for fear reprisal attack for exposing them to the police
