The Taraba State Police Command has successfully rescued three hostages abducted by suspected kidnappers in a bold operation aimed at curbing violent crimes in the state.
The operation, led by a combined team of police officers, local hunters, and vigilantes, was carried out in the forest of Unguwan Wulliam Kumar Village, Ibi Local Government Area, following credible intelligence.
According to the state police spokesperson, SP Abdullahi Usman, intelligence received on January 11, 2025, at about 6:35 PM, indicated suspicious movements in the forest. Acting swiftly, the combined team launched an operation that resulted in a fierce gun battle with the suspected kidnappers.
