A joint team of security operatives including the Army, Police and vigilance corps have reportedly cleared Niger State of bandits terrorising the state and adjoining states.

A highly elated resident of Kontagora, Niger State, who spoke with Hybrid News Nigeria recently on condition of anonymity, informed this medium that the security operatives killed at least two hundred of the terrorists over the weekend.

At the prodding of this medium, he explained that the success was owing to a dissension that arose among the bandits.

One of them consequently surrendered himself, as well as their location and mode of operation to security operatives following which an attack was launched.

He noted, however, that quite a few of them escaped either with gunshot wounds or unscathed but that the counted dead bodies numbered some two hundred.

Similarly, another source from Niger State, who also spoke on condition of anonymity, confirmed same via chat messages.

He disclosed that security operatives have located and cordoned those that kidnapped students from a Kebbi College.

The source wrote: “They’ve been dislodged and securities are now picking those informers from different places with the help of those evils caught… there is success seriously”

“Today most of those villagers can’t stay in some locations in their villages bcs of the horrible pung of the dead bodies of these BANDIT killed smell everywhere”

“To cut the story short even those who kidnapped those students have no where to go as they have been surrounded but how to get the students without casualty is the problem.”

“Report from zanfara and sokoto is the same many of these evil men have been killed as they tried to get away from different borders.”

“They explained that the bandit who was carrying them was telling them that he will abandon the vehicle and run or else he will get into serious trouble.”
