The FCT Police Command is currently investigating an altercation between a Bolt driver and a passenger in the Galadima area of the Federal Capital Territory, which left the driver hospitalized.
The incident occurred on October 24, 2024, when a dispute over luggage handling reportedly escalated into a physical altercation between the driver, Emmanuel Ebhohimen, and his passenger, Brandy Nwatu. Responding to a distress call, officers led by the Divisional Police Officer for Galadima quickly arrived at the scene. Ebhohimen was taken to the Federal Medical Centre in Jabi for treatment, while Nwatu was detained and later released on bail, pending further police action scheduled for October 28, 2024.
The FCT Police Command expressed appreciation for the public’s swift reporting, which helped defuse the situation. Police Public Relations Officer SP Josephine Adeh emphasized the importance of public cooperation in maintaining security and encouraged residents to continue using official communication channels.
