The Nigeria Police Force has officially designated only three virtual applications and websites for virtual policing services, warning the public about the proliferation of illegal and fraudulent alternatives.

The approved platforms are the NPF Rescue Me Application for emergency situations, available on both Android and iOS; the NPF Central Motor Registry website for digitalized motor vehicle data; and the Police-VGS Quick Emergency Reporting and Response System (QERRS), designed to enhance police response to emergencies.

The Nigeria Police Force emphasizes that any other virtual policing service claiming affiliation with the force is unauthorized and fraudulent. The public is advised to stay informed by following the official social media channels of the Nigeria Police Force, where updates and information on approved services are regularly shared.

The approved applications can be accessed via Google Play Store and Apple iOS store for Police-VGS and NPF Rescue Me, while NPF CMR is available through a user-friendly public portal at https://cmris.npf.gov.ng. The Nigeria Police Force commits to making official announcements through the media and its official social media handles in the event of introducing any new application.

The NPF cautions individuals involved in creating, promoting, or distributing illegal applications and websites that they will face legal consequences for their fraudulent and deceptive activities.
