The Directorate of Intelligence Response Team (DFI-IRT) within the Nigeria Police Force has achieved another milestone in the relentless fight against crime, particularly kidnappers. In the early hours of February 8, 2024, notorious kidnappers and gunrunners, responsible for terrorizing Abuja, Kaduna, Kogi, and Nasarawa states, were successfully neutralized by IRT operatives at their hideout near Gitata, along Keffi Gidan Wire Road, Nasarawa State. The operation also led to the recovery of four (4) AK47 rifles, dangerous weapons, and a bag of ammunition.

These individuals, now neutralized, were actively involved in supplying arms to bandits operating within the same region.

This accomplishment, executed in the early hours of Thursday, highlights the unwavering commitment of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) to ensuring the safety and security of all citizens. The NPF remains dedicated to employing all necessary measures to eradicate criminal elements from our communities and uphold peace and order across the nation.
