The video shows officers encouraging the young man to abuse the naira, violating the provisions of the CBN Act and demeaning the integrity of the police force.

In response, the police have initiated steps to identify and discipline the officers involved. They have also invited the young man featured in the video for questioning. The public is urged to assist in identifying the individuals to ensure proper sanctions are applied.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Olumuyiwa Adejobi assured Nigerians that corrective and punitive measures are being taken to address the issue and uphold the dignity and professionalism of the police force. The investigation aims to reach a conclusive end, reinforcing the police’s commitment to ethical conduct and accountability.
