The Commissioner of Police for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), CP Benneth C. Igweh, has ordered an immediate and thorough investigation into the fatal shooting of Oyebuchi Anene in Byazhin, Abuja. The incident occurred on May 22, 2024, at approximately 9:45 PM.

The directive, given to the Deputy Commissioner of the Criminal Investigation Department, mandates a discreet probe into the circumstances surrounding Anene’s death. The police officer responsible for the shooting has been placed in custody pending the outcome of the investigation.
