In a dedicated move to fortify Nigeria’s cyber space, the Nigeria Police National CyberCrime Centre arraigned Wilfred Bonse before the Federal High Court Abuja on 1st February 2024. Bonse, a resident of Aso Garden Estate in Abuja, faces charges related to conspiracy for computer-related fraud and money laundering, amounting to 50 million naira.
The court ordered Bonse’s remand in a correctional facility until the next hearing, marking a significant step in the investigation of Patricia’s security breach. This underscores the ongoing commitment of the Nigeria Police Force National Cybercrime Centre in combating cyber and financial fraud.
IGP Olukayode Adeolu Egbetokun Ph.D, NPM, emphasized the Force’s dedication to upholding the law and ensuring justice. He directed the National Cybercrime Center, led by CP Uche Ifeanyi Henry, to stay at the forefront of combating cyber and cyber-enabled crime globally.
