The Anambra State Police Command has authorized the bereaved family of the three children found lifeless in a fridge at Nnewi to proceed with their burial. Commissioner of Police CP Ikioye Orutugu granted the request, acknowledging the family’s deep grief and assuring them of swift police action when necessary.

In a statement released by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, on March 1, 2025, the Command emphasized that investigations into the tragic incident are still ongoing.
