Police Arrest Woman, Brother Over ₦15M Bitcoin, Iphone Robbery In Okota

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a 25-year-old woman, Emmanuella Ogochukwu, and her younger brother, Ogbuka Tochukwu, 22, for allegedly conspiring to rob a man of three iPhones and bitcoins worth ₦15 million.

According to a police report, the case, initially reported at the Okota Police Station, was transferred to a specialized investigative unit on February 17, 2025. The complainant alleged that his girlfriend, Emmanuella, collaborated with her brother and his associates to orchestrate the robbery.

Following Emmanuella’s confessional statement, police operatives tracked and arrested Ogbuka Tochukwu. Both suspects reportedly admitted to the crime. Law enforcement officials successfully recovered the stolen phones and a sum of ₦6.5 million, which have been registered as exhibits.

The police have intensified efforts to apprehend other members of the gang still at large. Investigations are ongoing, and authorities have assured that further updates will be communicated as the case progresses.
