As discreet investigation commences to further arrest other fleeing suspects for Prosecution.

The Zamfara State Police Command has arrested two (2) Suspects, Namely : Mubarak Aliyu and Sani Ahmed both ‘M’ 25YRS of age from Wanzamai Village in Tsafe LGA.

SP Mohammed Shehu, the Command’s Spokesperson said in a statement that the arrest followed a distress call received from the Area Manager, Power Holding Company of Nigeria, popularly known as NEPA, Tsafe branch regarding the vandalisation of Transformer and other electrical installations in Wanzamai Village, where large quantity of Aluminium conductor wire valued at about Eight Hundred Thousand Naira (N800,000) were removed.

“DPO Tsafe acted on intelligence information and arrested the above named suspects in possession of a large quantity of melted Aluminium conductor wire, On interrogation, the suspects confessed to the offence and further mentioned their partners in crime now at large.

“The Command under the leadership of CP Ayuba N. Elkanah psc(+) is applying various strategies to arrest the fleeing suspects and charge them to court for Prosecution.

“While the Command assures adequate Protection of Public and Private installations across the State,it advises members of the public to be vigilant and report any attempt to vandalise such equipment for prompt action.” he said.
